Electrical Control System for Hoist Journal Bearing Wear Conditions

Regarding the wear condition of the elevator shaft journal, the repair process involves using either the front or rear shaft shoulder as a reference surface for alignment, ensuring concentricity during restoration. Meanwhile, the inner bore of the tooling is precisely finished on a lathe to meet the required roundness and basic dimensions after repair. The repair procedure itself is straightforward: simply use an oxy-acetylene torch to heat and remove oil from the worn area.

Continue until no sparks are generated—then use an electric tool to carefully sand the worn areas, enhancing both the surface area and adhesion strength of the material. Next, clean the sanded repair area thoroughly with anhydrous ethanol. After completing this step, perform a dry test of the fixture; once the fixture passes the dry test without issues, apply SD7000 release agent evenly onto the inner walls of the fixture. Finally, mix the Sorel carbon nanopolymer material according to the specified ratio.

Then, evenly apply the prepared material to the area needing repair → install the fixture and allow the material to cure → remove the fixture, inspect the repaired surface → finally, fit the bearing, and the repair is complete. There are several techniques available for restoring worn journal bearings on elevators, such as weld-overlay machining, electroplating with brushes, or even replacing the component entirely. So, why specifically choose Somar carbon nanopolymer material?

This material boasts comprehensive advantages such as compression resistance, bend resistance, and excellent ductility, enabling it to effectively absorb external impact forces. It significantly mitigates and counteracts the radial forces exerted by bearings on the shaft, while also preventing the potential development of clearance—thereby eliminating wear caused by relative motion resulting from increased gaps in the equipment. Moreover, this technology is not only easy to implement but also offers short repair times, high restoration efficiency, and low repair costs.
