Let’s take a detailed look at the different categories of explosion-proof hoisting winches.

Explosion-proof hoisting winches can be classified into two main categories based on their drive method: electric and hydraulic. The electric type, in turn, includes several subtypes: motor rotor external resistance speed control, motor stator pole-changing speed control, thyristor-based variable-frequency speed control, and single- or dual-motor differential speed control. The hydraulic type comprises four distinct approaches: low-speed, high-torque hydraulic motor direct-drive models; high-speed, low-torque hydraulic motor configurations connected via planetary gear reducers; planetary differential pump-controlled speed regulation systems; and hydraulic torque converter–controlled setups.
